Taulant Toma, the Albanian master escapee, has managed to escape from prison again, for the fourth time in a row. The alarm was raised at 8 am when, during morning raids, prison officers at the maximum security prison in Opera did not find him in his cell.
His sentence ends in 2048, but Toma Taulant, a 41-year-old Albanian, has decided to expedite his release, reports Corriere della Sera .
Since Sunday morning, he has been searched everywhere in and around the Opera prison, Milan and not only there.
Toma, with a criminal record for robbery, theft and drugs, is an expert at escaping. The alarm was raised at 8:00 a.m. when, during their morning "check," prison police officers at the maximum security prison in Opera failed to find him in his cell.
How did the escape happen?
It appears that Taulant cut through the window bars and climbed into the yard, where he then climbed over the perimeter wall and disappeared.
Investigators are analyzing security camera footage to reconstruct in detail the manner and timing of his escape. And to discover where he may have gone.
This is the fourth escape in his criminal career, but he has always been caught.
The last time he escaped from a prison in Parma was in 2013, when he managed to escape with another prisoner. He was later captured in Belgium, but escaped again a few months later, only to be recaptured again in 2015. His first escape was in October 2009 from Terni prison, which resulted in his capture at the end of December in a country house in the province of Pavia by officers from the Prison Unit and the Garibaldi-Venezia police station.
