Toma, with a criminal record for robbery, theft and drugs, is an expert at escaping. The alarm was raised at 8:00 a.m. when, during their morning "check," prison police officers at the maximum security prison in Opera failed to find him in his cell.
How did the escape happen?
It appears that Taulant cut through the window bars and climbed into the yard, where he then climbed over the perimeter wall and disappeared.

This is the fourth escape in his criminal career, but he has always been caught.
The last time he escaped from a prison in Parma was in 2013, when he managed to escape with another prisoner. He was later captured in Belgium, but escaped again a few months later, only to be recaptured again in 2015. His first escape was in October 2009 from Terni prison, which resulted in his capture at the end of December in a country house in the province of Pavia by officers from the Prison Unit and the Garibaldi-Venezia police station.

Nicknamed 'the thief of Parma', he is considered dangerous and violent by local Italian authorities.
The first escape took place on November 9, 2009, from the Terni prison in Italy. Toma managed to escape using a bed sheet. He was arrested on December 24, 2009, along with 4 Albanians who were accused of robbing seven villas over a period of one year in Northern Italy.
The second escape on February 2, 2013 from the Parma prison (Italy). Toma escaped together with Valentin Frrokaj, sentenced to life imprisonment for murder. Both escaped in the most classic way, after cutting the bars of the cell and then hanging themselves with ropes.
