Klodian Kulla, the nephew of Nehat Kulla, was found dead in the Fshat Village in Klos, on Arbri Road. Police say the 39-year-old is suspected of having jumped from the bridge, about 160 meters high, during Monday evening, at around 23:40.
According to preliminary information from the police, it is suspected that the victim may have committed suicide during the night.
The body was pulled from the abyss after several hours of searching by firefighters, the Shqiponja forces and the Burrel police. The circumstances of the incident are still unknown, while the police are conducting an expert examination in Tirana to determine whether he committed suicide or was murdered.
"On 08.12.2025, at around 23:40, at the bridge of the village of Fshat, Klos municipality, citizen KK, around 39 years old, is suspected of having jumped from the bridge and consequently lost his life. As a result of the difficult terrain, after several hours of searching by the Police and Fire Department services, it was possible to find and remove the body from the cliff. The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to clarify the circumstances and legally document the event," the police announced.
We recall that Nehat Kulla, who passed away in 2020, a year after being released from prison, was known by the nickname General and that in 1997 he led one of Tirana's most notorious gangs.
Kulla has served a 20-year sentence in Fushë-Krujë prison for the 1998 murder of Halim Gjuzi in Golem, the driver of former Interior Minister Halit Shamata.
Nehat Kulla's gang was created during the 1997 riots in Albania. He, together with his family and friends, kept the "genius" unit intact, among the only ones unharmed during the attacks.
Kulla, along with his so-called soldiers, kept the unit under control for some time, even giving himself the nickname "General", a name given to him by all the residents of the area for whom he was the most influential man.
