
A 46-year-old man, Elis Roga, internationally wanted for drug trafficking from Italy, has been arrested in Tirana.
He was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Rome, after the Court of Rome, Italy, issued an arrest warrant for this citizen, for the criminal offenses of "Criminal Organization" and "Drug Trafficking".
Criminal offenses for which, according to the Italian Criminal Code, a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison is provided.
Work is currently ongoing to extradite this citizen, in cooperation with the Italian justice authorities.
"The structures of the Special Operations Force Directorate at the Criminal Police Department, based on operational information and in cooperation with the Tirana Local Police Directorate, the Office of the Security Expert at the Italian Embassy and the I-CAN Project, located and arrested citizen ER, 46 years old, resident of Tirana.
This citizen was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Rome, after the Court of Rome, Italy, issued an arrest warrant for this citizen, for the criminal offenses of "Criminal Organization" and "Drug Trafficking".
The criminal offenses for which he is accused, according to the Italian Criminal Code, provide for a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
"Legal procedures for the extradition of this citizen are ongoing, in cooperation with the Italian justice authorities ," the police announced.
