Dutch MEP Anna Strolenberg joined the 30th protest held in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where she expressed her support for Albanian citizens and emphasized that the protesters' demands are consistent with the fundamental values of the European Union.
During her speech, Strolenberg stated that nature protection, the fight against corruption, transparency and democracy are principles on which the European Union is built, adding that Albania should move in this direction.
"What you are protesting for are European values: protecting nature, fighting corruption, transparency, democracy. I am here to support you. There are many people from many backgrounds, we want Albania to go to the EU, but if you want to go, Edi Rama must listen!" said Strolenberg.
At the end of her speech, the MEP addressed Prime Minister Edi Rama directly, calling on him to listen to the protesters' demands and take steps against corruption.
"Edi Rama, are you listening to us? He should listen, the demands are clear: don't mess with Albanians, fight corruption and protect nature!" she said.
