Tirana is "occupied" by protesters, the call echoes: Rama resigns!

The civic protest march continues on the streets of Tirana, where for the 30th consecutive day, hundreds of citizens took to the streets to express their dissatisfaction with the government. Every evening, the protesters march under the chants "Rama resign" and "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison", "Down with the patronage", "Albania belongs to Albanians", "The end has come for you", etc.

This evening's protest gathered a large number of citizens, who conveyed strong messages during speeches given at the start of the rally.

As in previous days, citizens declared that they will not withdraw until Prime Minister Edi Rama leaves office, while also demanding an investigation by SPAK into the affairs that, according to them, have harmed the public interest.

"This protest will continue until Edi Rama leaves office. We will not stop until there is accountability for the affairs that have burdened citizens. We demand that SPAK investigate every scandal and every abuse of public funds. Citizens will not retreat from this battle for justice and accountability," they said.

Protesters are marching through the streets of the capital with banners, waving flags and placards with anti-government messages.

The march took place along the route that included the "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard, the Unknown Soldier area, the "9-storey building", the "Barricade Street", the "Train Station", the "First Bird" Boulevard, and then continued on other streets of the capital.
