A serious incident occurred today in Mat, where a 23-year-old man was found dead near the Shkopet River.
Media sources indicate that Renis Dobra has bruises on his neck and it is suspected that unidentified persons may have drowned him and thrown his car into the lake.
The 23-year-old is suspected of being strangled with his hands or some other hard object.
It was a resident of the area who found the young man near Lake Shkopet and notified the police.
The night before, the victim's father reported his son missing to the police, saying he had been taken hostage. The police launched a search and found the young man's body 10 meters from the lake.
Meanwhile, the police have not yet revealed any information regarding the reason for the young man's death, while the expertise of experts from Tirana who have arrived in the area is awaited.

"Yesterday evening, citizen RD appeared at the Mat Police Station, reporting that his son, citizen RD, 23 years old, had not returned to his apartment. Police services immediately began searching for the 23-year-old. After several hours of searching, Police services found the 23-year-old's body near Lake Shkopet, while his vehicle is suspected to have fallen into the lake.
"A special investigative group has been established in relation to this case and investigations are continuing under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office to clarify the circumstances and legally document the case," the police announced.
