The 31-year-old Albanian man who was convicted of murdering his wife, Eleonora Toçi, ends his life in the psychiatric unit of Sammaritan prison.
This is Lulzim Toçi, who committed suicide on Wednesday afternoon. The 31-year-old was serving a sentence for the murder of his wife, an event that occurred on October 9, 2024, in their home in San Felice a Cancello, in front of their two children, aged 6 and 4.
Lulzim Toçi, the 31-year-old man who murdered his 24-year-old wife in front of their two children, suffered from acute schizophrenia. This was the result of the expertise carried out on the perpetrator, determining that when he killed his wife, he acted on impulse, without even realizing it.
We recall that the murder took place in their home in Via Caravaggio, Naples, in November 2024.
After killing his wife Eleonora in front of her two young children, 4 and 6 years old, in a confused state, the 31-year-old left home, seeking help from his sister-in-law, who discovered his sister's body through a video call with his grandchildren.
Alarmed, the woman immediately called the police, who stopped Lulzim in front of her house.
According to police, the 31-year-old immediately confessed to the murder: "I killed my wife."
During questioning, Toçi repeated his confession to the judge, despite his language difficulties and his state of shock.
