The belated victory of the Birra Tirana workers and the smile of the late Fatmir Pema...

The moral triumph of the Birra Tirana workers also becomes legal: will they get

After more than six years of struggle, the workers won in the courts what they were denied in the factory. Now it remains for the state to return what the owners took from them through force, injustice, and abuse.

One of the most epic battles in Albania that tramples on workers' rights is that of the Birra Tirana workers.

One of the country's oldest industrial centers, where along with economic assets, the rights, lives, work, and health of thousands of workers were violated.

A cause that, to the shame of Albanian society, was left in the shadows, but which was followed step by step only in the pages of the Pamphlet.

This was the only media outlet that brought the bitter and dramatic battle of the employees who were raped and left, expelled and slammed against the doors of the courts, while many others ended up in police station cells.

They were even accused of being thieves and abusers, when in reality they were the masters of a brand that had made a name for Tirana and Albania.

An epic battle that had its victims. That had deaths in the workplace and others who left this world due to illness, stress, and the consequences of a lack of technical safety.

As was Fatmir Pema, the hero of the more than six-year battle for a union cause, which no union defended.

Except for the Pamphlet, which gave workers space to share what was happening in the factory.

Today, almost all employees of Birra Tirana have won their trials at all levels.

Meanwhile, the denunciations published by workers in the Pamphlet about the tax evasion and abuses of the owners of Birra Tirana turned out to be true.

A few days ago, vehicles and luxury properties owned by people who bear on their conscience the weight of the pain, suffering, and injustices inflicted on thousands of people were seized.

And up there, Fatmir Pema, along with other friends, are probably observing this moment, smiling.

Rejoicing over a big victory.

A victory that Fatmir and his friends are probably enjoying with a glass of organic Tirana Beer and Selite water, just as the dedicated craftsmen and workers of that iconic combine that has remained in the memory of Albanians once did.

While the so-called owners, who trampled on people's lives and caused so much suffering, are today among the most hated people.

Until yesterday, they were selling their minds and making out in luxury cars and the most expensive hotels.

But today they don't even have those anymore.

However, they are not equal to those who trampled them.

Because at least they have no one to drink a cold glass of Tirana Beer with on these hot days.

Unlike the workers, who probably saved a blessed bottle to celebrate this victory.

A victory that, even though no one is broadcasting it to them on their screens, they are enjoying it immensely.

Especially in this heat.

Because they made that beer themselves, with their minds, sweat, and hands.

Meanwhile, the abusers turned the factory into ruins, with the intention of turning it into a construction site.

But, apparently, they experienced a major setback themselves.

And this seems to be just the beginning.

However, the state still has an obligation.

Since it has seized the assets of owners who have not paid their debts, it must also guarantee the repayment of the debts they have towards their workers.

To the workers, to whom justice has recognized injustices one by one.

This would be the real victory.

If Albania wants to be called a European country.

Because in any country in the European Union it is unthinkable that an employer would not pay for the sweat, even the blood and lives of its workers./ Pamphlet
