The 83-year-old imam, known as a preacher of jihad and Islamic apocalyptic theories, had been invited by Islamist networks to Durrës; the expulsion was ordered after an American warning about the risk of extremism...
The most important news of yesterday was the expulsion of Imran Hossein by the Albanian police, not allowing him to enter Albania.
Hossein, an 83-year-old cleric from Trinidad & Tobago, a global idol of Islamic fanatics, had planned to go to Durres to hold a series of lectures to a large audience.
He had been booked a luxury room at the “Empire” hotel on the beach in Durres, a place he had frequented before.
This was not the first time he had traveled to Albania; it was reportedly the third time at the invitation of Albanian imams, with whom he had long-standing ties.
As it is learned, the ban on his entry was made after an American request, as Hossein is on the US blacklist and has been denied a visa for a long time.
Imran Hossein, a representative of the Salafist school, is considered one of the most influential imams in the world and has a wide network of followers on social networks.
In his sermons, the Latin American cleric, financed by Iran, is known as one of the strongest voices of jihadist propaganda and a supporter of the theory of a clash between the Islamic and Western worlds.
In his lectures, Hossein does not talk about faith or religious morality, but about international politics, geopolitics, wars and nuclear strategy.
On the YouTube platform, he spreads the idea of a world apocalypse and the return of Jerusalem as the center of an Islamic caliphate, referring to the periods of the Abbasid and Umayyad dynasties.
Hossein has a large following in Albania, especially among Islamic fanatics. He has come twice before to lecture in Durrës, where the contact person in Tirana is Olsi Jazexhi.
Two weeks ago, Hossein gave a lecture in Malaysia, moderated by Olsi Jazexhi, which was also attended by a former American soldier, known to be a supporter of the Iranian regime.

In recent lectures, Hossein has strongly opposed the deal reached by US President Donald Trump, Arab countries and Turkey to end the conflict in Gaza. He has called the deal "Pax Judaica", defining it as a new phase of global Jewish dominance, following the "Pax Americana" of the post-World War II era.
Hossein's Albanian supporters have spread reports that his detention and deportation was carried out under pressure from Israeli diplomats in Tirana, but official sources confirm that the request came from the US, which considers the cleric to be one of the figures who incite extremism and undermine peace efforts in the Middle East.
Recently, the United Kingdom has also banned his entry into British territory. This order was activated when Hossein was in London, where, together with several Orthodox Jewish clerics, he had opposed the peace plan for Gaza.
From there, he left for Albania, where he intended to stay for a long period. As soon as he arrived at Rinas airport, the Albanian authorities received notice of his detention and the police expelled him from the country, after a session of questions and procedures, which was filmed and documented. / Pamphlet
