55 new deputies of the SP, DP and the Freedom Party have received from 744 thousand to 1.5 million lekë per diem in the first two weeks of their mandate alone, in addition to their monthly salary and bonuses. Even veterans continue to benefit from millions, such as the case of Niko Pelesh who received 1.9 million lekë per diem, in addition to his salary and rent reimbursement, although he owns several apartments in Tirana. The financial misery of the Assembly continues at an unstoppable pace, while Albanian taxes flow from the sweat of the newly elected deputies.
Even the new MPs are speaking on behalf of the people. But, like the veteran MPs, they began their mandate by laundering citizens' taxes through allowances, in addition to their monthly salary of 3.1 million lek and 770 thousand lek for fuel, telephone, and parliamentary committee meetings.
The overview of the financial benefits of MPs for the month of September 2025 has been published on the official website of the Parliament. In the column "Domestic travel allowance", the amount of allowances received by 55 new MPs from the Socialist Party, the Democratic Party and the Freedom Party is stated.
They began their mandate on September 12, 2025 and swore to work for the people's problems. But for the first two weeks of their mandate, they received from 744 thousand to nearly 1.5 million lek per diem. They stated that they were in their electoral zones for meetings with citizens and submitted to the Assembly's finance office certificates for hotel accommodation, while the food quota is set at 140 thousand lek per day.
According to the list published by "Pamfleti", the allowances have been received by deputies from the regions of Durrës, Lezhë, Shkodër, Kukës, Dibër, Gjirokastër, Vlorë, Berat, Elbasan, Korçë, who have their homes there.
Among the new SP and DP MPs who have benefited from 1 million 489 thousand lekë for the two weeks after the start of the mandate are Gjin Gjoni, Kliti Hoti, Jozefina Topalli, Bora Muzhaqi, Zegjine Çaushi, Tërmet Peçi, Skënder Pashaj, Igli Cara, Xhenis Çela, Klodiana Çapja, Ilva Gjuzi, Kiduina Zaka, Loer Kume, Luçiano Boçi, Manjola Luku, Marjana Koçeku, Aulona Bylykbashi, Piro Dhima, Bledi Çomo, Blendi Himçi and others.
While the new MPs who have received from 744 thousand to 1 million lek are Bardh Spahia, Sara Mila, Tedi Blushi, Agron Gaxho, Ana Dajko, Ani Dyrmishi, Ardit Bido, Iris Luarasi, Belind Kelliçi, Besart Xhaferi, Brunilda Haxhiu, Enno Bozdo, Agron Malaj, Gent Strazimiri, Erald Kapri and others.
Even veteran MPs continue to receive millions of lek in addition to their salaries through per diems and monthly allowances for fuel, telephone, and participation in parliamentary committees.
A typical case is Niko Peleshi. In addition to his monthly salary of 3.9 million lek as Speaker of the Parliament, in September 2025 he received 1.9 million lek as a subsistence allowance as a member of parliament. He also receives 290 thousand lek per month for rent reimbursement as a homeless person in Tirana, although he owns three apartments in Tirana.
