Two rallies will be held in Vlora by the two old parties, the SP-PD, which burned the city in 1997, and because of which dozens of soldiers and citizens were killed.
After 30 years, it is once again the leaders of the two parties who, terrified by the protests in Tirana, have decided to suppress and diminish them, through their actions with rallies and anti-rallies agreed upon in Vlora, by Edi Rama and Sali Berisha.
The Socialist Party will hold a festive rally for the 35th anniversary of its founding, when Edi Rama closed the celebrations of this anniversary 3-4 days ago in Tirana; while the Democratic Party, at the same time in Vlora, will hold an anti-rally against the Socialist Party's rally.
In Friday's communication with the media, Sali Berisha stated that the (anti)rally in Vlora is not organized by the DP, but is an initiative of the angry citizens of Vlora, against the corruption of the government and Edi Rama.
The document being published by "Pamphlet" confirms that the DP rally against the SP rally in Vlora was organized and called by the DP, on the same day, time and place.
On his official Facebook page and on all social networks, the Political Director of the Vlora District Democratic Party, Aurel Bylykbashi, has published this announcement:
· "The Vlora branch of the Democratic Party, on June 5, 2026, at 6:00 PM, organizes a protest in the square in front of the City Hall. Together for change. Vlora protests for its rights."
A few hours before this protest, the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, declared that the protest in Vlora is not organized and led by the Democratic Party, but by the citizens and we as a party will support it.
Sali Berisha warned of this anti-rally the day before in Parliament, calling on Prime Minister Edi Rama to cancel the SP rally in Vlora, or the DP will give the approved response there, in Vlora.
