The Kremlin has released more details about a phone call between President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump. Among other discussions, Moscow said Putin warned Trump during the call that sending Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine could harm the peace process.
Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said Putin also told Trump that Moscow's forces currently have "full strategic initiative" along the entire front line in Ukraine.
Ushakov said a new planned summit between the two presidents would be preceded by a phone call between US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in the coming days.
He also said that the phone call, which lasted just under two and a half hours, took place at the initiative of Russia.
