The agreement reached between the United States and Iran appears to have entered a concrete phase of implementation, as Iranian state media has published photographs showing President Masoud Pezeshkian signing the memorandum of understanding between the two countries.
Photos published by the state news agency IRNA show the Iranian leader holding the document written in Persian. At the bottom of it appear to be the signatures of Pezeshkian and US President Donald Trump.

The release of the photos comes amid heightened international interest in the deal, which aims to reduce tensions between Washington and Tehran after a recent period of escalation.
According to a US official, Trump signed a printed copy of the memorandum during his stay in Versailles, France. US authorities later sent the Iranians a photo of the signed document as part of the process of finalizing the deal.
The memorandum consists of 14 points and about 800 words. It provides for the extension of the ceasefire between the parties, as well as measures aimed at restoring normal ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a sea route of strategic importance for global energy trade.
The photos published by IRNA constitute so far the clearest visual evidence of the signing of the document by the Iranian side, while the agreement is expected to be followed by technical negotiations on the implementation of its points.
