Tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated again, after US President Donald Trump threatened a new wave of attacks on Tehran, while Iranian officials responded with harsh accusations.
Earlier, Trump declared that the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran "is over" and warned that there would be new attacks.
"We hit them very hard last night, we'll probably hit them hard again tonight," Trump said.
Tehran's reaction came from Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi, who described the US president's statements as proof of the failure of Washington's policy towards Iran.
"Trump's comments were not a sign of strength, but an admission of the failure of a policy built for years on force, sanctions and threats, which ultimately failed to bring the Iranian nation to its knees," Gharibabadi declared.
Further, the Iranian official used even harsher language in a response published on the X platform.
"The criminal and murderer Trump must be spoken to in the language he understands, apparently, that is the language of force," Gharibabadi wrote.
