
An Albanian from Kosovo has been arrested on suspicion of killing his cohabitant in Ulcinj (also Albanian), in the Kodra neighborhood, yesterday evening, and then setting fire to the house where they lived. It is learned that he is a 46-year-old from Kosovo with the initials BG.
According to the police, the suspect himself suffered injuries from the fire and was initially sent for treatment to the General Hospital in Tivat, and then to the Clinical Center of Montenegro in Podgorica, 'Vijesti' reported.
Police announced that at around 00:30, they were notified of a fire in a residential building in the Kodra neighborhood of Ulcinj. Immediately after responding to the scene, police found the body of an initially unidentified woman, who was later identified as DN (36), an Albanian citizen.
Also, a person with fire injuries was found and detained at the scene, who was later identified as 46-year-old BG.
The case was reported to the state prosecutor at the High State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, who led the investigation in cooperation with the police. According to the announcement, investigative actions have been taken, statements have been taken from witnesses, footage from security cameras and material evidence from the scene of the incident have been obtained, which will be expertly examined.
The investigations so far, according to the authorities, raise suspicions that BG committed the criminal offense of "aggravated murder", set fire to the house where the incident occurred, and then fled the country.
