The investigations launched during SPAK's first term were in a preliminary phase and had not yet touched on the biggest political figures.
The first defendants were former ministers, former MPs and local officials. Important files, but not enough to break the myth of impunity at high levels.
"In recent years, it seems that the fight against corruption has reached the highest levels. Former officials were punished, as well as recently incumbent officials. This shows that the Special Prosecution Office established its foundations in the first three years and in the second three years it achieved consolidation in the fight against impunity," said Eugen Beci, former prosecutor.
"If we look at the progress of the Special Prosecution Office, it looks like the progress of a child, where in the first three years it was recovering, then it created the basis to grow, to give these results that it has given today," said Bleona Metushi, journalist.
Altin Dumani's newly begun mandate would coincide with the finalization of a series of pending investigations, as well as many sensational new files.
SPAK did not focus only on politics, but also targeted organized crime groups and international trafficking.
"There are always mistakes, but I say that in these three years SPAK has had a different performance, I would say in a positive sense, in a positive trend, as there is always a need for improvements," said Tartar Bazaj, former member of KLP.
"What has helped the Special Prosecution Office in increasing the number of investigations and arrests are also the decisions they have had from foreign authorities, especially regarding wiretaps conducted by Encrochati and which are material that came half-finished from prosecution offices and international partner authorities," said Gentian Tërnova, former prosecutor.
At the doors of the glass building, faces that once spoke with the arrogance of the untouchables appeared. They made "patriotic" declarations that they didn't even believe themselves, or tried to hide behind the magic phrase "investigative secret."
Former prime ministers, former presidents, former ministers, deputies and former deputies, mayors and former mayors, once powerful and untouchable, entered this "waiting line" of justice.
"If you look at the latest survey, it all shows that the two concerns of Albanian citizens are corruption and organized crime. And these are the two areas of competence of SPAK. And this shows that SPAK, despite the good work it has done, has a lot of work ahead of it," said Rezart Kthupi, a lawyer.
"It is a difficult mission, but there could have been better expectations, there are defects, but I still think the performance is positive," said Tartar Bazaj, former member of the KLP.
This kind of show with politicians and officials parading at the doors of SPAK created the perception that no one was above the law anymore.
A perception for which the prosecution itself was apparently engaged in some camouflaged forms that in public relations jargon are known as PR. So much so that in the place opposite the entrance to SPAK, a shelter was improvised where journalists and television operators stood to film every visitor...
Often, the timing of the finalization of certain actions by the National Bureau of Investigation has been considered as predetermined moves to keep the public alive with sensational news from the SPAK building./ TCH

Nëse SPAK , BKH , Prokurori i Përgjithshëm dhe KQZ do kishin vepruar , sot në Kuvëndin e Shqipërisë nuk do kishte kontigjente, që herët a vonë do jenë klientë të tyre.
