The fire in the pine forest in the area of the hydropower plant in the village of Akërni in Vlora continues to be active. Since 05:00, firefighting and Armed Forces forces have been mobilized again to extinguish the flames.
The day before, the situation became critical as strong winds caused the flames to spread over large areas. The terrain also made it difficult for firefighters to intervene.

The Mayor of Vlora, Ermal Dredha, stated that the fire in Pishe-Poro has covered a length of 2-3 km and is suspected to be intentional.
A fire broke out overnight in Bogova, Skrapar. The fire started in the upper part of the valley and is spreading rapidly, favored by wind and high temperatures.
Firefighters from Berat, Poliçan and Skrapar, numerous police forces and military forces from the Rapid Intervention Unit in Poshnje went to the area, who made it possible to locate the flames and bring them under control.
