The fire situation in the country remains worrying, with 10 fires reported today. The Ministry of Defense reports that 6 of them have been extinguished, while 4 remain active.
The most problematic fire is in Pishe-Poro, Vlora, where intervention is being made difficult by sandy terrain and strong winds.
Helicopters from the Albanian and United Arab Emirates Air Force have been deployed to help extinguish the flames. 3 fire engines with 12 personnel, 4 AdZM forces and 10 municipal forces are in the area.
Other active fires are in the Gërmenj Natural Park, Leskovik administrative unit of the Kolonjë municipality, where the fire has reactivated today near pyramid 15. Firefighting forces from the Kolonjë MZSH are engaged on the ground.
In the village of Pezë Helmës, in the administrative unit of Pezë, in the municipality of Tirana, a fire continues to be active in several areas in a terrain with no roads and dense vegetation that does not allow the intervention of firefighting forces. Local firefighters are on standby 24 hours a day, mainly near several homes located closer to the area, but far from the fire source itself.
In the village of Bogovë, administrative unit of Bogovë, municipality of Skrapar, a fire broke out in a hangar and then spread to a pine forest area. 3 service groups from the Skrapar Fire Department are operating at the scene. The situation is under control and does not pose a risk to homes.
