The civic protest against the government continued today, marking its tenth day, with hundreds of citizens gathering in Tirana to demand the removal of Prime Minister Rama and changes in the country's leadership.
During the march, one of the protesters gave a speech critical not only of the government, but also of the opposition, accusing the political class of the situation in which Albania finds itself after more than three decades of transition.
The protester also disputed claims about the number of participants in the rally, emphasizing that the movement is gaining continued support.
"They told us there are 2,000 people. We are sorry that we have disturbed the sleep of both the prime minister and the one who claims to lead the opposition. They have held the country hostage for 35 years. We are stronger than ever to make Albania a country where people can live with dignity. We are without political parties and the call 'Rama in prison, Berisha in prison' echoes," she declared to the protesters.
According to the organizers, the protest remains a civic movement independent of political parties and will continue in the coming days.
