After the announcement of the injury of three officers, the Minister of Interior, Besford Lamallari, left the premises of the Presidency of the Assembly to closely monitor the condition of the injured police officers.
Tensions outside the Parliament remain high even before the start of the plenary session. The protest organized in front of the Parliament building was accompanied by clashes between citizens and police forces.
Upon the arrival of the deputies to the Assembly, a group of protesters threw eggs at them. The situation immediately escalated and the police intervened to neutralize the incidents, escorting six protesters.
Three State Police officers were also injured during the clashes. After this moment, the protesters moved towards the pedestrian zone, where they attempted to break the security cordon set up by the police.

To prevent the crowd from advancing, the police used tear gas. The clashes lasted for several minutes, while the security forces managed to maintain the security perimeter around the Parliament.
Two water cannons were also on standby at the entrance to Parliament as a precautionary measure. However, during the first clash, they were not used to disperse the protesters.
