Four arrested people are in Police Station No. 4, while four others are in Police Station No. 1.

The number of people arrested has increased to eight following tensions recorded this Thursday morning during the protest held in front of the Parliament.

Four of the arrested are being held at Police Station No. 4 in Tirana, while four others are being held at Police Station No. 1.

Besard Kajmi, Aristotel Elezaj, Gentjan Progni and Durim Bami are in Police Station No. 4. Among them is activist Gent Progni.

Meanwhile, 12 other people continue to be held at Police Station No. 3 with the status of escorted persons.

The arrests were made after clashes between protesters and police forces during a rally in front of the Parliament. Earlier in the day, police intervened to disperse the crowd after incidents were recorded, while police officers and protesters were injured in the clashes.
