As the protest has entered its 33rd day and continues in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, a protester from the Albanian diaspora in Italy has delivered a harsh speech, condemning the political class and the violence inflicted on citizens during the morning protest.
She stated that MPs do not deserve to be hit with eggs or flour, but with garbage, while also focusing on the case of a protester who, according to her, was raped while holding his disabled son.
" I am from the Italian diaspora. Don't call him Mr. Prime Minister, I didn't vote for him because he can't be my prime minister. Don't waste eggs and flour, it's a sin to waste food, because there is plenty of garbage that we can throw away ," the protester declared.
Following her speech, she said that as a teacher of children with disabilities in Italy, she was touched by the way in which, according to her, a protester who had his disabled son with him was treated.
" Today is July 2nd of Embassies. I am a teacher for students with disabilities in Italy. The gentleman's child did not have a decent stroller and when I saw him being abused today, I am speechless. This was the reaction I expected from you, to fill the squares as much as possible. We must be witnesses of change. The peak of evil is nothingness ," she said.
Finally, the protester called on Albanians, especially compatriots abroad, to join the protests in the coming days.
" On July 4, many of your compatriots will be here. Even if it's just for an hour, come out here ," she appealed.
