Lawyer and former MP Enkelejd Alibeaj, commenting on the symbolism of the coffin displayed at Saturday's protest, said that according to him, there should actually have been two coffins, signifying the closure of the political cycle of Edi Rama and Sali Berisha.

According to him, there is no black symbolism in that coffin, as it represents the political end, while he stated that Prime Minister Rama used the show to victimize himself, comparing this to the coffin of Azem Hajdari that was brought before the Prime Minister's office led by Nano in 1998.

" Creativity has been the strong weapon, one of the strong weapons of the movement. Listen, I experienced both 1998 and '99, because I was in court at that time. Yes, I had them. Yes, it's a different story. I understand this sensitivity of using the coffin. It seems like there is some kind of contradiction between being peaceful all the time and using a black symbolism. I'm calling the coffin black now. There is nothing black in this, zero. Why is the coffin ultimately political, to make it clear to everyone. Why even one coffin, why only one and not two in fact?" he said on the "Now" show on "Euronews Albania"

According to him, the political end is sought for two political figures, while adding that what impressed him was not the use of the coffin as symbolism, but the victimization of Rama.

"He was victimized, because the next day he did nothing else. He made a long and wide sheet where the center was precisely the arkëmort, to use Kadare's word now. Look at what logical construction Rama wanted to use: protest like '14 September, in front of the Prime Minister's Office like '14 September, arkëmort like '14 September, and for this reason the conclusion is simple: it is a violent protest like then, like '14 September, and not only that. Not only that, but it is also Berisha's. The essence of Rama's position was precisely this: he will expose the movement as Berisha's movement, captured by Berisha, by the DP," said Alibeaj.

He added that, according to him, Rama does this for several reasons, emphasizing that in relation to Berisha, he always wins the battle.

" It is precisely this artificial conflict that has kept Albania in hibernation and artificial polarization. History continues, partisans and ballistas. And this has been what has kept Albanians in hibernation for so long, because despite the opponent, left or right, they forgot that they had things in common: stolen, poor, miserable, hopeless, ruled. Albanians have discovered each other ," said Alibeaj.
