The civic protest that has been taking place in the capital for more than two weeks has entered its 17th day today. As in previous days, citizens have begun gathering in the center of Tirana, maintaining the continuity of a protest that the organizers describe as non-partisan and open to all citizens. The rally continued with a march along the main boulevard of the capital, where the protesters expressed their positions and demands.
Meanwhile, the organizers have announced a significant change in the protest schedule. According to the official announcement, starting tomorrow, the gathering and departure of the rally will take place at 7:00 PM.
The change in schedule comes after more than two weeks of daily protests in downtown Tirana, as organizers aim to maintain participation and continuity of civic mobilization.
Another feature of today's protest is related to its format. The initiator of the protest, Alben Kola, has announced that there will be no speeches from ordinary participants during the rally, unlike in previous days.
According to him, the floor will be left only to new representatives, who will have the opportunity to express their positions and messages to the protesters gathered in the square.
The protest, which has continued for 17 consecutive days, has maintained the same organizational scheme, with citizens gathering in "Skënderbej" Square and marching towards the Prime Minister's Office, turning the center of the capital into the main point of civic mobilization.
Organizers have called for participation in the coming days, while it remains to be seen whether the change in schedule will affect the number of participants and the dynamics of the protest.
