Investigative journalist Artan Hoxha spoke about the murder recorded in Elbasan where businessman Edmond Mëhalla was killed.
Hoxha linked the murder to recent events in the country where several people were killed, while emphasizing that investigations have failed to arrest the perpetrators.
He added that previous murders are related to organized crime and that it is clear where a structured group or conflicts of partners are involved, as happened in the case of Elbasan. The journalist adds that a calm has recently fallen in Elbasan after the two new groups won the war with the old groups, taking control of the city.
" Elbasan is a very key artery from north to south from east to west intersecting in this city. Plus also for the financial power that the Elbasan groups achieved, especially in the last 5-6 years, for the financial power that was guaranteed."
"We also see a good part of them in the trial and the level of intrigues that they had with each other is emerging. The panorama we see is tragic and was translated into a balance of successive murders. The biggest problem we have is with the serious events related to organized crime ," Hoxha said on "Euronews Now" with Thimi Samarxhiu.
