Mirilda Karçanaj, the director of the National Mortgage Services Agency, appeared today before the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).
Investigations have begun regarding suspicions of violations and abuses in 12 tender procedures within the ANA.
Karçanaj is expected to give testimony on these cases.
SPAK is investigating 12 tender procedures, which the investigation has shown to be predetermined. These are tenders with significant values related to the maintenance of servers of important institutions.
Investigations show that the tender criteria were predetermined by the competing companies and in this way, they managed to win millions.
One of the businessmen under investigation is Ermal Beqiri, who with his company "Soft & Solution", was previously questioned by SPAK. Over the past few days, investigators have summoned and questioned 25 AKSHIT officials, who are mainly members of the Bid Evaluation Committee and members of the Complaints Review Committee.
The National Agency for the Information Society is an institution at the center of accusations of corrupt tenders. Some time ago, one of the former officials of the National Agency for the Information Society, Daniel Shima, mysteriously disappeared for at least 10 hours and his family filed a complaint with the police. Daniel Shima had just given testimony at SPAK about corrupt tenders.
