Analyst Mustafa Nano has commented on the executive's recent confrontations with the courts.
Nano said that recent cases have debunked the narrative according to which the prime minister controls the judiciary.
"Arrests, lawsuits, putting the executive in difficulty. The good side is that the narrative that the judicial system is controlled by the executive, especially Rama, disappears. I also had this fear because the SP has been the only political force that has been entirely in favor of justice reform.
The DP and the SMI were against it, it was international pressure that made them vote in favor of the reform. So what is happening, those who think so are wrong. Only if they are feeding conspiracies according to which it is Edi Rama who is directing the arrests, which seems to me to be colossal nonsense.
"The second positive side is that the system is working. But here some doubts arise about the super-turnover that some institutions are receiving that are surrounded by a lot of public consensus," he told MCN.
As for Prime Minister Rama's statement about violating the balance of powers, he said that the head of government is pressuring them to give up.
"Rama speaks with certainty. I have my doubts. I think that even those who have been arrested, but also Mrs. Balluku who has been suspended, I think they could be prosecuted even though they are free. So the circumstances were created for them to resign. By putting them under pressure, they do not give up.
It is these suspicions of abuse by SPAK or any court that legitimize their behavior. I believe I am giving an arbitrary percentage here, 70% to the new justice institutions.
"But the 30% that constitutes the amount of suspicion is not small, so they must do a lot so that people like me don't even have this suspicion," said Nano.
