Spanish coach Pep Guardiola has started his last year in charge of Manchester City. His contract with "Citizens" expires next summer, so his name has been talked about a lot recently as the next coach of the English national team.

A place left empty after the resignation of Gareth Southgate. It has often been said that the FA would consider appointing an interim manager to try and convince the Manchester City boss if he decides to leave the club in the summer of 2025.

However, for now, Guardiola is only thinking about his current role:

" I am very excited about this new season that we have ahead of us. I'm really happy here ," Guardiola told Sky Sports.

" Like every season, I definitely needed a break, but after that, I recharge my batteries and have the same energy as usual. I know the competition is coming, I will be who I am. I am completely focused on this job and nothing else ," Pep Guardiola further emphasized.
