The police have released new details about the serious accident that occurred on the Mollas-Gostimë axis, in the territory of the Cërrik Municipality, where two people lost their lives and another was injured.
According to the official announcement, two vehicles were involved in the accident, one driven by Qemal Çala, 63, and the other by Sajmir Muça, 38.
As a result of the collision, the driver Qemal Çala and the passenger Drilon Tabaku, 22, both residents of the area, lost their lives. Meanwhile, 38-year-old Sajmir Muça was injured and is receiving treatment in hospital.
From the preliminary examination of the scene, the police suspect that the accident may have been caused by a wrong maneuver while driving. The investigation group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues to work to fully clarify the causes and dynamics of the accident.
"Two vehicles were involved in the accident, one driven by citizen SM, 38 years old, and the other by citizen Qemal Çala, about 63 years old.
The collision resulted fatal for the driver of the vehicle, Q. Ç., who died at the scene. The passenger traveling with him, Drilon Tabaku, aged about 22, also died.
The driver of the other vehicle, Sajmir Muça, 38 years old, was also injured in the accident and was urgently transported to the hospital, where he is receiving medical assistance and is under the care of doctors," the police announced.
