PSG have released goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and the latest decision leaves little room for discussion. The Italian goalkeeper, one of the main protagonists of the fantastic run that culminated in the Champions League victory, has been left out of the squad for the match against Tottenham, valid for the European Super Cup.
The Parisians have bought Lucas Chevalier from Lille and for them it is clear that he will be the goalkeeper of the future. So in Luis Enrique's plans, Donnarumma is no longer seen as an option. But few expected the separation between the parties to come in such a public way.
It is now clear that the goalkeeper will seek another arrangement this summer, or wait quietly until the summer of 2026, when his contract with the Parisian club expires and he can leave as a free agent, although this would mean a year without being activated by the Italy goalkeeper, on the eve of the World Cup.
