Shkruar nga PamfletiArdian Ismajli has officially been introduced to Torino with a video where he was asked more about his life. The national team defender left Empoli this summer and joined Torino in Serie A. In his words, the 28-year-old said that he feels like a captain when he goes on the field, even without the armband on his arm.
"I've been here for a few weeks and I feel very good. I like the city a lot, and so does my wife. Torino is a club with history and incredible fans, so when they contacted me, I didn't hesitate," he said.
Born in Kosovo, Ismajli also spoke about his roots and family.
"We are three children, the father is involved in politics, the brother is a policeman, but previously played football, while the sister is an IT expert," he said.
Regarding his role on the team, Ismajli said he always feels like a leader.
"I have always felt like a captain even without the armband. With Albania I had the honor of wearing the armband, a historic moment for my family. I want to help young people, because I have gone through difficulties myself and I know how to cope with them," the defender continued.
Ismajli considered Serie A a dream come true.
"It was my dream since I was a child. I am ready to adapt to both three-man and four-man defenses. Message to the fans? Warriors never give up. This is the spirit I will always give on the field with the Torino jersey," Ismajli concluded the presentation.
