The Vetevendosje Movement of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has formalized the pre-election coalition for the June 7 elections, entering the race together with the Guxo Party, Alternativa, and PSHDK.
The news was announced by the co-chair of the Guxo Party, Donika Gërvalla, through a post on social networks.
"We signed the coalition agreement with the VETËVENDOSJE! Movement, the Alternative Party and the PSHDK. For a Republic that does not negotiate with the interest of the state, for a state that does not waver, institutions that do not surrender and a government that is not subject to narrow interests or the pressure of any time," she wrote.
The agreement confirms the continuation of cooperation between the political forces that currently constitute the parliamentary majority in Kosovo. This coalition is expected to be one of the main political developments before the June elections, as the participating parties aim to maintain their governing majority.
In addition to this coalition of Albanian parties, the Central Election Commission has also been notified of the creation of two other coalitions from minority communities, namely that of the Bosniaks and that of the Ashkalis.
A total of three coalitions with nine political parties will participate in the June elections, while 22 other parties have confirmed their candidacy.
These will be the third parliamentary elections to be held within 18 months, following the electoral processes held in February and December 2025, which, according to experts, have plunged the country into an ongoing institutional crisis.
