The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Bedri Hamza, stated in a press conference that for this party, the issue of the president is now closed.
Hamza stated that the Vetevendosje Movement (LVV) has not shown any willingness to resolve this issue, despite the fact that, according to him, PDK has offered support for a consensual candidate for president, "without getting involved in governance".
PDK Chairman Bedri Hamza has stated that he has received a communication from the chairman of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti.
" Kurti's offer was for PDK deputies to stay in the hall for the President and in exchange, PDK would take the Speaker of the Assembly. This is not serious. We are not talking about the Speaker of the Assembly ," Hamza declared.
Hamza said that Kurti has made an offer to PDK to give him the position of Speaker of the Assembly, while the position of Deputy Speaker held by this party will be passed to LVV.
" The first is not serious, since the Presidency of the Assembly is constituted, the Assembly is constituted, we have not contested this issue. We are not talking about the Speaker of the Assembly, we did not go to seek a position for ourselves. We went to give the country institutional, institutional and political stability. The second is not serious at all. And the third, which is more important, is not even Constitutional," Hamza told the media after the meeting of the PDK Steering Council , Hamza declared.
