The Democratic League of Kosovo has withdrawn from the presidential talks.

LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku stated that they have not reached an agreement and consider the discussions closed since Kurti has insisted that the presidency remain with LVV.

LDK has also rejected a co-government agreement with LVV.

"We must prepare for the scenario of new and extraordinary elections. From the beginning, LDK has been clear that the president should not be an extension of the government. There cannot be a government that also has the president of a party, that is, has the three institutions," declared Abdixhiku.

He added that he has made efforts to find a solution, but according to him, no agreement has been reached.

"I tried, I tried, but unfortunately I didn't succeed. Now we return to LDK and the great mission of uniting the right within the party," he said.

Abdixhiku criticized the stance of the Vetëvendosje Movement, saying that there was an insistence that the position of president remain with this party.

"He insisted that the position of president remain with LVV," he said.
