Prime Minister Edi Rama has published a video from the protest near the Socialist Party headquarters, reacting harshly to the protesters and their slogans.
In a post on social media, Rama described the protesters as “uninvited guests of the night” and expressed concern about the rhetoric that, according to him, incites division and hatred. Rama compared the slogan “Albania of Albanians” to nationalist slogans used by extremist movements in other countries.
He brought to mind the example of Nazi Germany, arguing that similar calls have historically served to fuel hatred and exclusion. Rama also drew a parallel with the Greek organization “Golden Dawn”, known for its extremist and anti-immigrant stances.
At the end of his reaction, Rama used the phrase "Forgive God for they don't know what they're doing," implying that the protesters, according to him, are not aware of the consequences of the messages they convey.
