The Socialist Party celebrated today the 35th anniversary of its founding in an event held at the Palace of Congresses, where Edi Rama chose to bring back to the stage the "old guard" of socialists, the figures who were part of the founding and early years of the Socialist Party.
The ceremony comes at a difficult time for the Socialists. Signals of dissatisfaction have increased within the party, with Elisa Spiropali speaking out against some developments, Erion Braçe increasing his criticism and showing ambitions for Tirana, while at the grassroots level there are voices complaining about a lack of attention and the way the party functions after so many years in power.
Rama is also facing massive protests from citizens. While old figures were being honored at the Palace of Congresses, citizens were protesting in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
At the event, several historical figures of the Socialist Party were awarded gold medals, including former President Rexhep Mejdani, the first chairman of the SP parliamentary group Namik Dokle, former Prime Minister Ylli Bufi, former SP chairmen in Tirana Musa Ulqini, Halil Lalaj and Besnik Baraj, as well as former MPs and founders such as Valentina Leskaj, Anastas Angjeli, Hamdi Jupe, Maqo Lakrori, Luan Shaullari and Sajmira Pino.
Rexhep Mejdani was honored for his contribution to the development of democracy and his role as president, while in his speech he wished that the Socialist Party would lead Albania towards European social models. Ethem Ruka, former MP and former minister, was praised for his contribution to the establishment of the Socialist Party, recalling the emotions of the party's early years.
Namik Dokle, the first chairman of the Socialist parliamentary group, said that the Socialist Party was founded with idealism and that its essence remains “progress and solidarity.” Ylli Bufi was praised for her role in the transition and institutional stabilization of 1991, while Valentina Leskaj was honored as one of the most important women figures in Albanian politics.
Also awarded with gold medals were Besnik Baraj, Hamdi Jupe, Anastas Anxheli, Maqo Lakrori, Halil Lalaj, Musa Ulqini, Luan Shaullari and Sajmira Pino, who in their speeches recalled the early years of the Socialist Party, the political struggles and the role of the socialists in the transformation of the country.
The return of old figures to the SP scene seems like an attempt by Rama to convey a message of unity and continuity at a time when the party is facing internal tensions, grassroots dissatisfaction, and citizen dissatisfaction. / Pamphlet

Dekorohet ish-kryeministri Ylli Bufi, ish minister i energjitikes, ish minister i privatizimeve, i cili na beri peshqesh koncesionaret oligark hajdute te partise tij, ne vendburimeve e pasurive natyrore minerare, ne nafte dhe miniera. Ky eshte pjese e kesaj masakre qe po behet ne vb Patos - Marines, qe e privatizuan ne vitin 2004, kur qeveria drejtohej nga k/ministri Nano dhe ky ishte pjese e kesaj qeverie. Ky me fitoren e socialisteve ne 97, kur ishte minister i energjitikes, eshte thirrur per nje takim me specialistet e institutit gjeologjik te naftes fier, per te diskutuar me specialistet e naftes, qe e thirren per te diskutuar rreth zhvillimit te industrise nafftes ne kushtet e ekonomise tregut. Beri sikur na degjoi dhe u largua bashke me ata bazhipozuk depotet qe e shoqeronin dhe qe sja u degjuam njeher zerin ne parlament. Me kaq, sja pame me fytyren dhe sja degjuam zerin. Specialistet dhe naftetaret ishin kunder privatizimit industrise naftes dhe gjithe vendburimeve ekzistuse bashke me zonat perspektive te pergatitura per kerkim-zbulimin e rezervave te reja. Por ky si mori parasysh mendimet e specialisteve dhe pas largimit te kompanise Premier Oil. ky e kishte shume te qarte se ky koncesion kishte deshtuar. Atehere ne keto kushte ky pse e lejoi perseri dhenien me koncesion te ketij vb kompanise Bankers Petroleum, nje kompani hajdutesh, qe po bene kerdine ne kete pasuri me te madhe te shqiptareve prej 22 vite, dhe jo vetem qe po vjedh gjithe fitimin ne kete vb por po e shkaterron gjithe ate pasuri marramendese prej miliarda euro. A ka pergjegjesi morale ky ish funksionar, po pergjegjesi penale a ka, sepse si e privatizoi kete vb nje kompanie si Bankers Petroleum qe nuk ishte formaur akoma, pra pa tender dhe pa gare, pa eksperience, pa kapital investues, po favorizimet pse ja beri kesaj kompanie ne kontrate lidhur me detyrimet financiare ndaj shtetit, qe e perjashtuan kompanin prej tyre. Ku i gjeti parate ky funksionar, qe sipas informacioneve, ka ndertuar nje Universitet ne qytetin e fierit, nje godine madheshtore, A mos valle keto jane para korrupsioni nga nafta e vb Pator Marines, A eshte ky pjese e korrupsionit masive qe eshte bere ne kete vendburim. Kete le ta hetoj drejtesia, SPAK-u.

Turp vErtet.. ne vend te ngrini zerin KRITIK. Ky ishte shteti i d*jer qe donit dhe aspiruat, luftuat e u përpoqet. Palo *owe ju ka tredhur se nuk ju ka dashur afer, ju ka zbuar e tani ju thërret per dekor. Ky ka vetem zbatim plani sic i thone Toni Bler. Nxit ca protesta se duhet per shtet gjoja.. demokratik gjoja.. per integrimin.. po aha as tutet fare, ka vetem skenar, une kam ardhur me vota te vjedhura thote e nuk iki se ju me deshet. Çpune ka Leskaj? Mbas ndryshimit të sistemit Valentina Leskaj vrapoi për shumë vite të ishte perkthyese e ambasadorit të Palestines ne Tiranë. Fatos Nano e mori ne fundin e vitit 2002 dhe e beri Ministre të Punës. Ndersa Mejdani hyri në PS ne Gusht 1996, kohë kur patronazhisti Gramos luante bioardo në Argine.
