After a long absence from parliamentary sessions, Prime Minister Edi Rama returned to the Assembly today.
After their speeches, in the afternoon hours when the draft laws were to be voted on, all opposition MPs left the hall, except for MP Dashnor Sula.
On the Now show on Euronews Albania, Sula revealed that the reason he remained in Parliament was to do his constitutional duty as "he has been doing since 2005."
" The opposition MPs, as soon as Berisha left, all left one by one, they do not participate in debates on bills that are important to discuss, which is the opposition's duty to see and discuss their shortcomings. I dealt with 3 bills, that is a constitutional duty, I have been doing it since 2005, I sit for 5 hours, 7 hours without moving... The Prime Minister is in comfortable conditions, we must accept it. He has all his MPs in line, everyone votes on orders. For me, as I read it, there may have been voices within the majority for bills that they may not vote for or abstain as happened today ," said Sula.
