The Assembly will meet in plenary session today, with a busy agenda, not only with discussions on the submitted draft laws, but also with interpellations.
According to official sources from the Parliament, during the session, an interpellation with the Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufi, requested by the DP Parliamentary Group, is expected, to be followed by interpellations with the Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro, also requested by the Democrats.
Meanwhile, two deputies from the Mundësia party, Agron Shehaj and Erald Kapri, have requested interpellations with Prime Minister Edi Rama and Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu. Rama is not expected to be available for the interpellation, not only because he will be on an official visit to Italy, but also because he has so far avoided any requests for interpellation, while delegating them to ministers.
One of the items on the agenda of the Assembly's proceedings is the election of the Chairman of the Competition Authority. There are 4 names in the race, while approval is by simple majority vote.


Denar Biba, who heads this institution, Pajtim Melani, Evis Noçka and Elidian Balla are aiming for the position of Chairman of the Competition Authority.
According to the law, the members of the Competition Commission are elected by the Assembly. One member is proposed by the President of the Republic, two members are proposed by the Council of Ministers, and two members are proposed by the Assembly.
The mandate of the Chairman of the Competition Authority lasts 5 years, and according to reports, the majority MPs are expected to reconfirm Denar Biba in office.
