"They call me the devil", Rama tries to be ironic with the protesters:
Edi Rama

Edi Rama has commented on the protests that have been taking place for nine days in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where he has attempted to mock the protesters.

During the conference with EU journalists, Rama said that among the protesters there are people with different motives and goals, mentioning both those who oppose him politically and citizens who express concerns about certain issues.

"There are many different people protesting in the streets. There are many shouting 'death to Edi Rama'. My message to them is: keep going because my life is getting longer!", declared the prime minister.

He also focused on citizens, who, according to him, participate in protests due to real concerns, expressing his readiness for dialogue.

"There are other people who, since they have connections to groups, political ambitions, there are people who come because they are concerned. If you are really concerned, let's talk," Rama said.

The head of government added that some of the protesters reject dialogue because of their perception of it.

"When I say let's talk, their response is that we never talk to him because it's a devil who changes this power from us. I have this power, but it's not my power, but the power of the facts," Rama said.
