Prime Minister Edi Rama, during the press conference with journalists from prestigious European Union media outlets, had moments when he could not hold his nerve in the face of questions.
Rama debated with a journalist from Romania precisely about the Zvërnec project. The journalist insisted that Rama had mentioned the cancellation of the project at the beginning of his speech, but the prime minister denied having said that.
Rama even asked to see the camera recordings to prove to the journalist that she had not mentioned the cancellation of the project. The Prime Minister emphasized that the project is something that is being worked on.
Rama: A person who has no information about the issue says he has a project. But where is the project? We don't have two projects, we have two places of development. Not because words are important today.
Journalist: You said at the beginning that it was canceled.
Rama: I never said it was canceled. Nothing was canceled because there was never a project to be canceled. No, no, it's not okay because you come here with your head full of lies that have blocked your brain and nothing gets through it.
Journalist: No, my brain is fine.
Rama: Your brain is fine, but the problem is how open it is to the facts. No, no, it's not fine. I don't accept it. It's not fine. We have others here. If everyone tells me that I said it at the beginning that we canceled the project, then we have a problem. We need to see the recording. I can't go on, sorry. You're saying something I never said because you came convinced that there was a project that was canceled.
The Prime Minister further emphasized that the project is something that is being worked on.
"She said that I said at the beginning that the project was canceled. Are you kidding me or what? These are the things why we have all this fog. I never said that we canceled a project. Because there was never a project. A project is something that is being worked on ," Rama said.
