Prime Minister Edi Rama has commented on the interview given to Deutsche Welle during his visit to Germany, stating that he was faced with questions based, according to him, on incorrect information regarding Jared Kushner's investment project in Albania.
In the podcast "Flasim", Rama focused on his visit to Bochum, where he participated in the international technology summit "Ruhr Summit", as well as his meeting with the Prime Minister of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hendrik Wüst. He said that the most unexpected part of this visit was the interview with the journalist of the international section of Deutsche Welle, who he said had created a wrong perception about the project in Zvërnec and Sazan.
The head of government said that the land in Zvërnec is private property, while the island of Sazan remains state property and that the final agreement with the company represented by Jared Kushner has not yet been finalized.
According to Rama, the Albanian state will remain the owner of the land and will be a partner in the venture, emphasizing that no sale of public land has been requested and there will be no sale.
He also rejected claims that the project could undermine Albania's European integration process, underlining that any development will be subject to environmental impact assessment and monitoring by the European Commission.
" Another highlight of the week was the visit to Bochum, Germany, at the invitation of the organizers of the international technology summit "Ruhr Summit", where I was invited to present the transformations we have made in Albania with digitalization and the way we have modernized and are modernizing governance through digitalization and, most recently, through the introduction of Artificial Intelligence."
Another highlight of that visit was the meeting with the state's prime minister, Hendrik Wüst, one of the most prominent figures of the German CDU and a friend interested in developments in Albania, in the progress of the Western Balkans accession process, with whom we spoke both about this aspect, namely about Germany's support in closing the negotiation chapters, and also about expanding bilateral relations with Germany through relations with the regions.
But, without a doubt, the "icing on the cake" of this visit was the unexpected interview with the journalist from the international section of Deutsche Welle, where, for the sake of truth, I was surprised by the way the journalist had completely "swallowed" the soup of untruths regarding Zvërnec and regarding the relationship between the government and the company represented by Jared Kushner, not hiding that she belonged to the broad camp of all those who turned Albania into an arena to wage their "war" with Trump, whether in America, Australia, or even Europe.
I was faced with questions like: "How can public land be privatized, sold?", which has neither happened nor has there been any reason to happen. Zvërnec is private land, Sazani is public land, where we have not yet closed the agreement. Precisely because we are negotiating a partnership and the state, which will always be the owner of the land, will have to be a partner in the venture in order for the agreement to be realized.
So, no sale of public land has been requested. Then, the whole part that has to do with protected areas, with Chapter 27, as far as we are aware or what we are able to sacrifice, even the European Union itself, to do the project, is a big logical mistake. Meanwhile, the story is quite simple. Anyone who is very clear or has a little bit of clarity about the fact that I am here to lead Albania towards membership in the European Union, the fact that we have a very strong popular mandate to realize this historic mission, the fact that this historic mission is not comparable and equivalent to anything, is also very clear about the fact that there is no chance for Albania to take steps, to make developments that contradict the standards and criteria of the European Union.
In this specific case, everything is a whirlwind, which mixes and mixes and mixes for purposes that are now clearly different, while we are obliged by those standards to carry out the environmental impact assessment, which we are doing; we are obliged by those standards to respond to all the criteria of the European Union. So, so to speak, the "security" for all those who are concerned is there; it is precisely the European Commission, which has so far been continuously familiar with the facts and there is no sense of alarm, because it is very clear that the entire process will be carried out in harmony with the monitoring process by the European Commission" , said Rama.

Po ne Durres qe djali beri fejesen ne lokalin e shokut te feminise perballe shtepise e pasi mbaroi sebepi, bashke me te fejuaren ndihmonin te pastronin lokalin, u vajten nja 10 marinsa ameriqene e njeri prej tyre zezak muti i puth te sapo fejuaren. Vajti djali ne shtepi qe e kishte perballe e i futi nja tre plumba mutit. E arrestuan e u ngrit tere Durresi ne protesta deri sa e liruan. Keto histori, jo historicka nuk duhen harruar. Populli Shqiptar eshte flori e shkuar floririt. Respektoi e nuk i vrau roberit Italiane te Duces por i ketheu te veshur e ushqyer me mire se vehtja e vet. Bujarise se Shqiptareve nuk ia kalon kush ne bote. Jane e do jene te mirepritur te gjite kombet e botes Europiane, Aziatike, Amerikane e cfaredo, por jo Euroqene, Aziaqene e Ameriqene. Keta te fundit te vene majat nga thembrat.
Ne nderin tuaj eshte qe Sazani nuk mund ti jepet askujt, as te huajve as shqiptareve, ajo duhej te mbetej prone e FA, per shume arsye ushtarake por me teper ajo ka vlere strategjike.Nuk mendohet mr menyre pragmatiste si ju por nje lider duhet te kete mendim e veprim strategjik, te kuptoje te ardhmen, trendet, situatat politiko ushtarake, vlerat ushtarake pas disa dekadash dhe jo te jesh pragmatist, eshte me mire nje pule neser se sa nje veze sot. Shqiperia nuk eshte plaçke tregu dhe kryeministri nuk eshte pronar i saj, nese populli ju zgjedh, ju zgjefh per te menaxhuar e drejtuar me ndershmeri dhe jo te abuzosh me voten. Nje popull te vlereson e te nderon kur punon e mendon per te dhe jo per xhepin e nje grupi njerezish grabites e pa dinjitet. Populli te vlereson kur ja lehteson jeten jo kur ja veshtireson, kur e streson, e deformon, i kerrus kurizin duke i vendosur barre te madhe me halle dhe i keput kurrizin etj
Mundohu mos flasesh ne emer te Shqiperise. Zhduku nga syte kembet. Sa nuk eshte vone. Nuk perfaqeson askend. Perkundrazi ku ve kemben vetem zullum ben.
