The last session of the Parliament closes/ In September, new

The majority MPs voted on the draft laws, while the opposition MPs abandoned the plenary session.

The last plenary session for the 10th legislature, which marks the end of the "Rama 3" majority, has closed. The last session closed after almost 9 hours filled with debate, discussions and, at the end, the raising of cards. The majority MPs voted on the draft laws, while the opposition MPs abandoned the plenary session.

The Assembly approved the draft law 'National Strategy against Disinformation' with 72 votes in favor. Meanwhile, the normative act on changes to the 2025 budget passed with 71 votes in favor, while the draft law on the administration of co-ownership in buildings was approved with 71 votes in favor and 1 abstention.

Meanwhile, it is worth noting that the new parliament resulting from the May 11 elections will be formed in September. 82 of the deputies in the legislature that just closed will no longer be in parliament from next September. Accordingly, 45 deputies of the socialist majority, 34 deputies of the opposition, 3 deputies of the Social Democratic Party were in the plenary session for the last time today.

Many of the old deputies in the ranks of the SP will be replaced by new deputies. Among them, the old jackets of the SP stand out, such as Pandeli Majko or Petro Koçi. On the other hand, in the opposition camp, we will no longer see in the Assembly and parliamentary life politicians like Lulzim Basha or Enkelejd Alibeaj, although they did not appear in the last plenary session today. A big absence in the ranks of the Democratic Party is also the deputy from Peqin, Dashnor Sula, as well as the deputy Dashamir Shehi.
