During her speech, within the framework of the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Party in Fier, the political leader of this region, Belinda Balluku, described Fier as the "capital of the socialists", also making a joke about Vlora.
She said that the choice of Apollonia for the development of the activity was not accidental, as according to her it symbolizes the connection to roots and history, elements that remain important for building the future.
"Welcome to this special evening celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Socialist Party, in Fier, the capital of the socialists, unlike what the people of Vlora say. Man has the tendency to think about the future, but without memories and the past, the future cannot be built," said Balluku.
In her speech, the political leader of Fier praised the contribution of the socialists of the region over the years, recalling the first challenges of the Socialist Party after its establishment in 1991.
"We are here to honor the contribution of the socialists of Fier. Those who are 25 or 30 years old today do not understand what it was like to be a member of the Socialist Party in 1991 or 1995. Your grandparents and parents have made a great contribution," she said.
Balluku also focused on the electoral success of the Socialists, emphasizing that the May 2025 parliamentary elections marked a historic moment for the Socialist Party.
In conclusion, Balluku thanked some of the main figures of the Socialist Party for their contribution in the Fier region, among them Gramoz Ruçi, Taulant Balla and Erion Braçe, appreciating their role in strengthening the structures and electoral results of the SP in this area.
"Honorable Chairman of the Socialist Party, secretaries, founders, members, well-wishers, welcome to this special evening celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Socialist Party, in Fier, the capital of the socialists, unlike what the people of Vlora say."

"I wanted to thank Gramoz Ruçi for everything he has done for the SP, Taulant Balla, a good friend of mine, from whom I took over the baton for Fier, as well as Erion Braçe, who has spent three mandates contributing here," said Balluku.
