Sali Berisha, the leader of the Democratic Party, and Ervin Salianji, expelled from the party for alleged links to crime, have been embroiled in accusations and counter-accusations at a distance between them. A day earlier, Berisha had stated that Salianji had lunch with Ergys Agas at a time when the Democratic Party was making denunciations against him. Although Berisha said that there was nothing wrong with having lunch, he considered Salianji's collaboration with crime to be inexcusable.
On the other hand, the former Democratic MP considers Berisha's accusations as old methods, while adding that he is not afraid.
Salianji accuses Berisha of being afraid of the race in the DP.
"Democrats do not need labels and exclusions, but real competition and honest representation. Whoever avoids the competition has lost what he did not enter. I am here. In battle. Without fear and until we make the opposition victorious and remove the autocrats in government and opposition!", writes Salianji in a post on social networks.
Salijan's reaction
Sali Berisha's attacks are neither random nor sincere. They are a clear expression of the fear of competition and the loss of privileges that have caused him to destabilize and display a severe psycho-emotional state!
When arguments are lacking, slander arises. When self-confidence is lacking, the other is attacked.
I have not been and will never be part of the bargaining with Edi Rama's government, while Sali Berisha and his circle are!
I have personally paid for my stances with prison, political blows, and constant attacks.
Not because I bowed, but because I didn't bow.
Accusing me of links to crime is not only ridiculous, but evidence of a deep political panic.
These are old methods: slander, smear, intimidate because you can't handle the competition. You can't do it with me!
The truth is this: I fear no one and I don't shy away from any confrontation.
On the contrary, I demand open, honest competition, in front of the Democrats.
The problem is not thinking differently. The problem is the fear of thinking differently.
The problem is the fear of an uncontrollable alternative.
Democrats don't need labels and exclusions, but real competition and fair representation.
Whoever avoids the race has lost what he did not enter.
I am here. In battle. Without fear and until we make the opposition victorious and remove the autocrats in government and opposition!
