Love, when poured out on paper, gains eternity. Such are the writings of Dritëro Agolli, who, in addition to his poems, never forgot to express his feelings to the woman who won his heart, Sadija.
" Dear Sadije, I'm completely obsessed with you these days. I'm full of love and adoration for you. It feels like everything in the world to me is you. I finally found such a wonderful person and these are not empty words, you should know!"
These are a few lines from the dozens of letters that Agolli sent to his life partner. He started writing as soon as he met her and never stopped. As the years passed, as wrinkles appeared on their faces, the artists' feelings for each other only grew. They used the pen whenever they felt longing.
The correspondence, which Dritëroi and Sadija's daughter has preserved with nostalgia, was exhibited throughout February at the writer's house museum, where interest in seeing his manuscripts and personal belongings was high./ TCH
