Renowned Kosovar actor, Lulzim Rexha, has passed away at the age of 41, after suffering from a serious illness.
He passed away yesterday evening (February 26), at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, a few hours after returning from Germany where he had been receiving treatment for a year.
The sad news about the actor's loss was announced by his close friend, Bekim Guri, through a heartfelt post on Facebook, explaining that this serious illness defeated his friend after a very long fight.
"Last night at 21:20 at the age of 41, at the Pristina Hospital (QKUK), Luli left us. (After being released by the German Hospital where you had been treated for 1 year), you could not survive death even though you fought so hard. You came and spent the last 30 hours in the air of your country! I have seen you in many situations and I could not leave you alone even at the last moment when you went to eternal peace and tranquility," writes Guri.
The actor had a sensational career, involved in many films and theater, as well as various public activities. Rexha left behind his wife and two children.
