Dritan Rexhepi stated before the court that he would not be questioned because, according to him, he had nothing to say.
The next hearing was held at the Appeal Court of the Kosovo Anti-Corruption Commission for the gardener of the 'Golden' complex in Shijak, Festim Bexhdili, accused of being part of the group that organized, kidnapped and disappeared without a trace the body of Jan Prenga, on January 17, 2020.
Dritan Rexhepi had refused to appear at the hearing to testify and, by decision of the Special Appeal, police forces forcibly escorted him away.
Dritan Rexhepi stated before the court that he would not be questioned because, according to him, he had nothing to say.
"I don't want to be asked because I have nothing to say," said Rexhepi.
Meanwhile, the court rejected a request by Ilir Murat regarding the examination of the video footage by an expert. The court postponed the hearing to June 26, at 10:00.
Gardener Festim Bexhdili was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Criminal Court for the kidnapping and murder of Jan Prenga, but a Supreme Court decision decided to return the file for retrial to the Special Appeal, as the latter claims that he did not participate in the crime.
But, according to SPAK, he knows the place where the body was taken, as he was part of it. Gentian Funiqi (Doçi), Dritan Rexhepi and Altin Hajri, the latter owner of the "Golden" complex where the crime took place, are suspected as organizers and perpetrators of the event.
The kidnapping of Jan Prenga:
Jan Prenga, a father of three, was kidnapped on January 17, 2020 in Kamëz, a few days after being followed and watched closely. He struggled with the kidnappers, but they were able to force him into a white Range Rover, where he was transported to the “Golden” complex, owned by Altin Hajri, a notorious drug trafficker.
5 people are accused as kidnappers, Aldo Majnishta, Artan Doçaj, Geraldo Martini and Marin Bleta and Korado Geshtenja, who are being tried together with Dritan Rexhepi. Meanwhile, the order was given by Gentian Goçi alias Funiqi, while the person who ordered it is suspected to be Dritan Rexhepi. Jan Prenga was kidnapped in broad daylight in Kamëz, and since then no trace of his body has been found.
