Flobenc Meçja alias Gega, one of the most wanted names by SPAK as part of the criminal organization run by the two "Çopja" brothers in Dubai, has spoken to the police regarding his arrest on May 22, 2025, while he was eating raw fish and shrimp in a luxury restaurant in Durrës.
Gega is accused by SPAK of three episodes of providing the conditions to commit the murder of Erjon Alibej and Sandër Baho.
On May 22, 2025, he was arrested on charges of "Unauthorized Possession of Firearms and Ammunition" and "Forgery of Identity Documents", after the police found a fake North Macedonian document on him.
After this event, the police took a DNA sample from Gega in order to compare it with a DNA profile found in the murder of Bujar Nasuf in Tirana.
According to the investigative file provided by "Ora News" journalist Elton Qyno, in his confession, Flobenc Meçe admits that the two weapons seized by the police belong to him, but a few minutes before the police arrived, he had put the German "Walther" pistol in Voltan Xhani's bag, without the latter's knowledge.
The arrested person, Voltan Xhani, has stated the same thing, that the pistol with 14 bullets is not his and does not belong to him.
Flobenc Meçja alias Gega, has denied that on May 22, 2025, he was in a bar in the Lalzi Bay area, the name of which he does not remember.
During questioning about this episode, Flobenc Gega stated that he was accompanied by his friend, Voltan Xhani.
The suspect admitted that he had a pistol-type firearm with the inscription "SigSauer" in his "Louis Vuitton" brand bag.
He also stated that he had another German-made “Walther” pistol, which he carried on his belt.
Before the arrival of the police officers, he stated that he had placed the “Walther” pistol in the bag of his friend, Voltan Xhani, without the latter’s knowledge, taking advantage of the fact that the bag was next to the chair where he was sitting.
Meanwhile, when asked about the documents that were found during the personal search, specifically an identity card and a driver's license issued in his name by the Republic of North Macedonia, Flobenc Meçja alias Gega, stated that these documents are completely forged.
At the end of the statement, Flobenc Meçja explained that due to his psychological condition, he is unable to give further statements at this moment and that he will give them at a later time.
Since July 2024, the Special Prosecution Office SPAK has been wanted for several charges. In the SPAK file, Flobenc Gega is accused of "Providing conditions to commit murder" in three episodes, carried out in the form of a "Structured Criminal Group".
In two episodes, Flobenc Gega provided tools and items for the purpose of murdering Erjon Alibej, who is known in Elbasan by the nickname "Krymi".
The first episode was recorded between November 2019 and January 2020, where according to SPAK, Flobenc Gega talks with the Çopja brothers, who offer him 5 million euros to kill Erjon Alibej in the Bradashesh prison.
While the second episode was recorded by SPAK in the period July-November 2020, where Flobenc Gega again entered into negotiations with the Çopja brothers to kill Erjon Alibej.
Currently, Erjon Alibej, alias "Krymi", has been charged with a series of criminal assassinations resulting in death and now enjoys the status of a SPAK collaborator.
