The court hearing has concluded as the verdict was handed down for the perpetrators of the murder of 20-year-old Grei Bihuci on March 11, 2024 in the city center of Fier.
All parties appeared at noon today after the verdict was given. According to official sources from the Fier Court of First Instance, the court session was held under strict security measures.
The trial panel consisted of chairman Genci Busho and members Vladimir Cjapi and Elira Hroni. The prosecutor of the case was Petrit Vukaj, while the two perpetrators accused of murder were defended by lawyer Ervis Goxhaj.
After reading the facts in the file and the evidence provided to the prosecution, Petrit Vukaj requested a guilty verdict for the accused, requesting 25 years in prison for Florian Muka and 12 years in prison for the minor KM (Florian's brother).
The defense, represented by lawyer Ervis Goxhaj, claimed before the trial panel that Floriani admitted to the murder but said he committed it in self-defense. Meanwhile, the 16-year-old minor KM, the brother of the perpetrator, claimed that he was present when the fight occurred and the murder was committed, but did not commit any action himself. The two defendants apologized and expressed remorse for the actions they took.
The charge was premeditated murder committed in collaboration under Article 78/1, for Florian Muken 25 years in prison were requested, but since he admitted the murder, asked for forgiveness, he was sentenced to 12 years in prison under Article 76, and for the minor 12 years but for not reporting the crime he was sentenced to 1 year in prison, which he committed in detention and was released.
