Two people have been arrested by police in Vlora after stealing a safe containing 15,000 euros from an apartment.
The incident occurred on June 2, on "Muhamet Gjollesha" street, where a 40-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, both residents of Vlora, are suspected of entering an apartment and taking the safe.
The arrested individuals have criminal records for theft, while one of them was under house arrest for the same criminal offense.
During the investigation, the vehicle used by the perpetrators to carry out the theft was also identified, which was seized by the police.
"The police operation codenamed "Reaction" is being finalized to crack down on criminal activity in the field of theft.
They stole a safe containing 15,000 euros from an apartment, 2 citizens were identified, arrested and put in handcuffs.
The 2 arrested, previously convicted of theft. One of them, currently under house arrest, for this criminal offense.
The vehicle suspected of being used by the perpetrators to carry out the theft has been seized.
The Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 2, in cooperation with the Vlora Local Police Directorate, after a citizen reported that a safe containing a large amount of money had been stolen from his apartment, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Reaction" to solve the case.
As a result of the operation, the following citizens were identified, arrested and put in handcuffs:
A. Xh., 40 years old and L. Gj., 38 years old, both residents of Vlora, previously convicted of theft. The verifications showed that citizen A. Xh. was under the security measure "House Arrest", for the criminal offense "Theft".
From the investigations conducted during the operation, it is suspected that these citizens, on 02.06.2025, stole a safe with 15,000 euros, in an apartment on "Muhamet Gjollesha" street.
"The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
